9/20/2023 EnchantaVaughn Approved Upon arrival to the client’s classroom, it appears that the client was well focus and determine to get his work done The teacher stated that the client had an awesome morning as he completed his morning work on time. The client had a smile on his face when he saw he’s counselor this morning. During lunch, the client was redirected twice to take a seat. The client looked at the adult and continued to jump from seat to seat. During afternoon check-in, the client continued to show improvement as he was on task. The client only needed one redirections today. The client did not have any outburst or negative behaviors today. The client was greeted with a good morning and inquired about his weekend. In group session, the counselor engaged the group in a communication activity. The client was prompted to take a seat or have silent lunch. The group was provided with a worksheet on things they have in common. The purpose of this activity is to engaged the group to share their similar interests to improve their communication skills. The client was observed throughout the day. The counselor engaged the client in a discussion about social skills. The client was taught how to use his listening ears before responding to others in order to get the full information. The game “Repeat what I’m Saying” to increase his listening skills. The client was challenge to use this skill while in class today. The client stated that he played with his brother and sister this weekend. The client worked well in small group and established proper conversation with his peers. The client was receptive to the counselor’s request and was able to stay seated the reminder of the lunch period. During individual session, the client was cooperative and was to successfully listen to the teacher throughout the day.
